EXTEDO acquires ING America Inc.

GECCO - the leading standard eCTD validation and viewing tool - strengthens EXTEDO's electronic Regulatory Affairs Suite

Munich, Germany, 22 September 2008 (tb) – At the annual DIA conference 2008 in Boston EXTEDO GmbH officially announced its acquisition of ING America. 

With this acquisition EXTEDO continues to strengthen its global delivery and services organization. ING America has been well known for its longstanding contributions to and work with the ICH M2 Expert Working Group. GECCO, the leading / industry standard tool for global eCTD validation and viewing, will be incorporated into EXTEDO’s electronic Regulatory Affairs Suite. By enhancing its product suite with GECCO, EXTEDO continues its mission to become the most compliant product suite for the global Life Sciences submission standard. GECCO is a light-weight desktop eCTD Viewer that provides a uniform and consistent view of eCTDs in the different regions including Canada, the EU and the USA. The acquisition also broadens EXTEDO’s base in North America, and will enable EXTEDO to better respond to both its US customers and its additional customer base, which now exceeds more than 600 Life Sciences clients in both the public and private sectors in over 50 countries. ING’s former President and CEO, Harv Martens, has extensive experience of North American eRegulatory affairs and he has taken on the role of VP of Operations for North America and Japan. Martens, the chief architect of GECCO, will also continue to manage GECCO’s Product Management and Development.
