Tore Bergsteiner, Chief Executive Officer

Tore Bergsteiner is CEO and founder of the EXTEDO group. He has successfully led the company from a German into a multi-national operation. With his strong business and solution oriented approach, Tore helps to create innovative regulatory solutions for the life sciences industry.
Tore has more than 15 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry. He has successfully administered the full lifecycle of EXTEDO’s operations including corporate finance, product development, sales & marketing, business development, quality management, service and support. Under his strong leadership, the company has received industry wide recognition as a global market-share leader.
Prior to founding EXTEDO, Tore was the Director of the Life Sciences division at IABG. He has successfully managed several complex and business critical software development and integration projects within the industrial and public sector.
Tore graduated in Computing Sciences and Business Administration at the universities of Bremen, Würzburg and Austin/ Texas.

 

Dr. Olaf Schoepke, Vice President of Operations for Northern Europe

Dr. Olaf Schepke is Managing Director of Extedo Ltd., the North European division of EXTEDO. He is responsible for the expansion of EXTEDO into the North European market including UK and Ireland.

Prior to joining EXTEDO, Olaf held a number of positions with vendors and consultancies, including principal consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he advised Life Sciences companies on emerging technologies worldwide. Olaf has over 15 years experience in the Life Science industry, from territory management to regulatory submissions, from strategy to successful implementation. His main expertise is in electronic record management and electronic submissions primarily within the regulatory and GxP environment.

Olaf is a member of the Advisory Council for Europe within the Drug Information Association (DIA) and holds a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Architecture from Bath University. Olaf is a regular presenter at Life Science conferences and runs training courses on eCTD.

 

Harv Martens, Vice President of Operations for North America & Japan, EXTEDO Inc.

Harv Martens has over 31 years of experience in information systems development for Life Sciences and has served for over 12 years on the ICH M2 Expert Working Group.

Prior to joining Extedo, Harv served as Owner/President of ING America, Inc. where he worked with clients and regulatory agencies in the EU, Japan, Canada and the US in the areas of eSubmission strategy, document and records management, tool and vendor selection, and software integration. 

Harv guided the development and marketing of the software product GECCO, the leading eCTD Viewer / Validator, and now part of the Extedo product line.

Harv also served for 5 years as Director of Data Management and IT at a major CRO and served for seven years as Director of Operations at a startup online pharmacy system company. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and is an active speaker at industry conferences promoting the development and use of standards.
