Tore Bergsteiner, Managing Director EXTEDO GmbH

Tore Bergsteiner is Managing Director and co-founder of EXTEDO GmbH. He is responsible for Product Development, Project Management, Customer Support and Quality Management.

Mr. Bergsteiner has been developing EXTEDO's Life Sciences business since 1996 at IABG. He graduated in Computing Sciences and Business Administration at the universities of Bremen/GER, Würzburg/GER and Austin/Texas, USA.

Andreas Suchanek, Managing Director EXTEDO GmbH

Andreas Suchanek is Managing Director and co-founder of EXTEDO GmbH and responsible for sales, finance and all administrative issues of the company.

Prior to EXTEDO Mr. Suchanek served as head of sales at inubit AG, Berlin and Chief Sales Officer and member of the Management Board at Networks Unlimited AG, Munich. At both companies he was in charge of sales (direct and indirect) and developing new business ventures.

Before his engagement in the software and services business, Mr. Suchanek worked in the banking, financial and financial news channel environment. He was Investment Manager and Analyst and succeeded in establishing a new corporate investment department for a cooperative bank.

Mr. Suchanek holds a degree in Business Administration (Finance) and is university lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences "FOM" in Munich.

Dr. Olaf Schoepke, Vice President of Operations for Northern Europe

Dr. Schoepke is Managing Director of Extedo Ltd., the North European division of EXTEDO. He is responsible for the expansion of EXTEDO into the North European market including UK and Ireland.

Prior to joining EXTEDO, Dr. Schoepke held a number of positions with vendors and consultancies, including principal consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he advised Life Sciences companies on emerging technologies worldwide. Dr. Schoepke has over 15 years experience in the Life Science industry, from territory management to regulatory submissions, from strategy to successful implementation. His main expertise is in electronic record management and electronic submissions primarily within the regulatory and GxP environment.

Dr. Schoepke is a member of the Advisory Council for Europe within the Drug Information Association (DIA) and holds a BSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Architecture from Bath University. Dr. Schoepke is a regular presenter at Life Science conferences and runs training courses on eCTD.

Harv Martens, Vice President of Operations for North America & Japan, EXTEDO Inc.

Mr. Martens has over 31 years of experience in information systems development for Life Sciences and has served for over 12 years on the ICH M2 Expert Working Group.

Prior to joining Extedo, Mr. Martens served as Owner/President of ING America, Inc. where he worked with clients and regulatory agencies in the EU, Japan, Canada and the US in the areas of eSubmission strategy, document and records management, tool and vendor selection, and software integration. 

Mr. Martens guided the development and marketing of the software product GECCO, the leading eCTD Viewer / Validator, and now part of the Extedo product line.

Mr. Martens also served for 5 years as Director of Data Management and IT at a major CRO and served for seven years as Director of Operations at a startup online pharmacy system company. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and is an active speaker at industry conferences promoting the development and use of standards.
